Designating The Outhouse

The Golden Retriever breeders were great when we picked up my little curious bundle of joy. They had so many things to tell us.
While I was too excited about the puppy to remember much, I did pay particular attention to their advice about teaching him to go to the bathroom outside. The advice was, before even taking the little guy into the house, take him to the spot in the yard that is designated to be the puppy outhouse.
When we got home, I immediately took the puppy to the designated puppy potty zone and watched him walk around. He sniffed for a while, then peed. Success!
Each time I took him outside I took care to take him to the same location in order to help him understand where the designated puppy bathroom was. He's so smart; I think he already has it down.
