Often when considering a Golden Retriever rescue dog over purchasing a Golden Retriever from a breeder, it is natural to wonder what to expect from it. A Golden Retriever rescue dog usually ends up in the local animal shelter because they are unwanted.
These dogs need loving homes, but there are a few situations you will need to expect. Many dogs are mistreated, sometimes on a daily basis.
In this regard, it is possible that your Golden Retriever rescue dog will show signs of neglect, and might not initially show the warm, loving personalities that the Golden Retrievers are well known for.
Give them time, and eventually the dog will know it is in a loving home to stay.
